Details:
As part of Klangwelt Toggenburg’s festival year, two audiovisual installations were created in the Toggenburg region in collaboration with Kollektiv Packungsbeilage: the light installation “Unterwasserfall” at the Thur waterfalls in the Chämmerlitobel in Unterwasser (SG), and a light show on the walls of the monastery church and provostry in Alt St. Johann.
For the Unterwasserfall project, the natural waterfall was transformed into an immersive landscape of color and motion through projections, lighting, and generative forms. Visuals were projected onto rock walls and water, blending with the natural dynamics of the site. Visitors could explore different perspectives of the installation along the grotto path, becoming part of the light experience themselves.
The installation was complemented by a spherical soundscape, accessible via a QR code with personal headphones, adding an individual auditory layer to the visual experience.
The second installation, the light show on the monastery church walls, depicted the journey of sound: from the creation of a tone in the sound forge to a visual journey through Obertoggenburg. The facades of the church and provostry became large projection surfaces with animated scenes and numerous small details.
